The black and white pencil drawings on this page are the actual original works returned to Ray from the University of Arizona Press after having been used to illustrate the book "Birds of Sonora" by Dr. Steve Russell and Gale Monson.  Mr. Monson is co-author of the classic "Birds of Arizona" having had a lifetime career in wildlife management. Dr. Russell retired to emeritus status after 32 years as a faculty member at the U. of A.
